It all began when a friend saw my photos and commented with both her team and the team they were playing against if they wanted the game photographed. The answer was yes and I quickly had to learn baseball fundamentals to understand where I was going to point my lens at during the game. Not gonna lie, it was not easy! As a Brazilian, I know quite a bit about soccer as you can imagine, but learning the rules and following a game that I’ve never watched or played before was a nice challenge. Baseball can be quite fast paced and there are so many things happening at the same time.
At the end though, I’m happy for this opportunity and it was a pleasure to work with them. The game was played at Squamish, British Columbia and both teams are locals (Hoodrats vs Brickhouse) and I’m definitely looking forward to shooting more!
